To celebrate the new decade we are releasing DRT YRT’s newest album Tripel. 9 tracks recorded in the Stable in Mendocino, CA and at the Stude in San Francisco, CA in September 2009. Months of mixing and editing done at the end of the year.

Our Roots-Americana band, Otto Mobile and the Moaners is set to perform our biggest show to date tomorrow, Thursday January 7th, at the esteemed Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA. We’ve been very excited and preparing for a couple months now. Its a great venue that just moved into a new downtown location last Fall. We did some live radio promo on KPIG last Saturday and have played a couple warm-up cafe shows in the past weeks as well. Elliott will play the grand piano too! Our set is at 8pm.

I had an 808 in the studio a few weeks ago for a couple of days and used it on this track. I also got a new Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier for the studio as well. I ran our Wurlitzer 200 through the Fender with the reverb cranked up. Marty thought this track would be good if someone dropped a verse over it, we’ll see.

Freedom! I’ve been working on a few remixes this week and everyone wants the remix in their soundcloud dropbox, so after being fire-walled out of at my last office and now gone from there, I now was able to setup an account. Its got a soundcloud great interface and allows you to upload many audio formats including WAV and AIFF.
