Fellow monome community member, seeyouinsleep, asked for a video of some sparse acoustic piano playing for a generative music processing piece he wanted to do using Ableton Live. So i sent him a very mellow video of me playing upright piano in our studio. The piece is a chilled out interpretation of a tune Elliott and I are working on for the next album. Check out the result:
I really want to learn how to play the piano, but I only have an old Casio keyboard. Is that good enough to learn on? Where do you suggest I start?
definitely…as long as your keyboard is polyphonic go for it! start by learning all the major and minor triads. i know a few professional musicians that still use Casio keyboards!
